As convoluted, wordy, and go-nowhere as Jordan's books could be, there's such a HUGE difference between his style and the new guys that I just can't get into the stuff after his death. I got perhaps half-way through The Gathering Storm and just couldn't go on with how the characters just didn't feel or act right to me. Ah well.

I sort of agree with you, though I did finish tGS and ultimately liked it despite the fact that Sanderson's style just isn't the same.

Jordan did write some of it though, 75000 words or so I think.

I LOLd hard when he died before finishing, before I saw Sanderson would finish it.
I was over WOT when the 10th book was yet another tug-and-sniff fest with hardly any plot resolution. Sanderson actually managed to breathe some life into it.
