>TBK: The first 130 pages was a bit slow. But it’s getting pretty good now. I’m about to start “rebellion” and “the grand inquisitor”. Wish me luck.

WoL: has helped me get a more positive outlook on other people so far. Big hopes it wil pull me out of my (sometimes) misanthropic mindset.

Georgics: Meh, just dosent do it for me.

Lanterna Magica: Just started it. What should i expect? Is it just a biography? How does it compare to Sculpting in Time?

Cyclonopedia: Amazing. The endnotes are the best part of the book so far. Can only handle it in small doses though.

Vicious: Jesus Christ the writing of this book is awful. Let's hope the plot makes up for it in the second half.

The interpretation of dreams: Fun. Comfy reading all these dreams.

IJ: How do people drop this book.

The essential Rumi: Mostly hippie shit if you ask me. Or maybe I'm just shit at appreciating poetry.
How to Live: A Life of Montaigne: It's pretty good, an equal blend of philosophy and biography.

>Truth by Blackburn
It's okay, I had an idea of what I was going in for. I like that he doesn't "start with the Greeks" and focuses on the topic itself.

>Zhuangzi
Phenomenal, never expected it to be this good. I wish I could understand ancient Chinese because the prose in the English translation is excellent.

>Bakemonogatari by Nisioisin
Comfy. But Jesus, my dick.

>Freedom - Franzen
It's good so far. Franzen is fantastic at writing about upper-middle class white people
>The Savage Detectives
It's moving along. Almost halfway through and while it's enjoyable, writing-wise, it doesn't feel super cohesive, yet(?)

Reading Out of Africa
Just started it this morning I’m enjoying her prose style but she is a bit all over the place. 2-3 pages and we’re onto a new subject. No apparent chronology yet.

>Russians and their Church
Detailed and brief history of Russian History via the Church from beginnings to the Revolution

>Battle for Belorussia: Forgotten Campaign from October 1943-April 1944
Dense book on the battle of Belorussia, I'm only 60 pages in and I haven't touched the hard stuff yet.

>Lives of the Georgian Saints
>The Holy Bible
>Homeworld Bound
It's okay, turtledove can't write sci-fi well though.

>Mesle - Process-Relational Philosophy
Bought a copy of Whitehead's Process and Reality recently, but after skimming through it I realized I'm a brainlet and I'd better start with a simple introduction. This book is simple alright... perhaps too much so. That's fine considering the fact that I'm reading it as a quick introduction to process philosophy as someone who's only been reading philosophy for a couple of years, but I was ready for more before I finished it.

>Oomen - Doet God Ertoe? (does God matter?)
A more advanced analysis of Whitehead, which I was told also serves as a good introduction. Just started it so I can't say much yet, other than it's clearly not as basic as Mesle's book.

>Talbot - The Holographic Universe
I've known about the core concept of this book for years, but still I found it a surprisingly interesting read. IMO Talbot handles the subject matter with an appropriate degree of intellectual modesty.

>Lundy/Sutton/Ashton/Martineau - Quadrivium
A pretty book with pictures. Fight me IRL if you don't think the dodecahedron is the superior Platonic solid.

Reading this right now. As the title suggests, it delves into how our passions can destroy us. Also gets into how the French Revolution destroyed Europe and how Jews use sexual liberalism, as a tactic to destabilize morality among the western world. As a revenge for the discrimination they faced in the past. Then it goes into how psychology and psychology is field that is bullshit. Since you're just admonishing your sins to someone who will give it. It also promotes an anti-nihilist philosophy. I like this book.

>The Heart of Darkness and Selected fiction
I read the short stories first, and honestly I don't get the hype of Conrad. Maybe it will change when I actually read the Heart of Darkness but his plain prose doesn't make his subject matter interesting.
>The History of the Decline and Fall of the Romans Empireally
Is it actually worth it? Is it actually accurate? I'mean interested in Romania history but I've been told John Julius Norwich dies better with Byzantium
