Okay so?
This law that basically says that you can't serve someone due to their sexuality or race is akin to saying you can't serve someone because they don't have enough money. If I were a business owner, I should have the right to not serve whoever I damn well please, and if I say that the religion I believe in, based on my interpretation, states that I can't serve or converse with someone for some reason, then the state better allow me to do so. Even if my religious beliefs aren't a factor, what's to stop me from saying I converted on the spot?
These armchair communists need to get off their high horse and realize that being different may cause people to treat you different, as that is just the nature of man. Hi Christians

I have a serious question and am not trying to troll

The catechism of the Catholic church clearly describes homosexual intercourse as a gravely disordered behavior etc.

But similar language is uses for masturbation, fornication, and so on. Similarly it's considered a horrific practice to abort a child with downs syndrome, for example.

My question is why do many Christians fixate on the issue of homosexuality in comparison to these other sins?

There doesn't seem from my perspective to be a lot of Christians extremely closely attaining the moral goals of their religion condemning homosexuality

Instead I basically seem to see people who have immense problems in their own lives but are willing to castigate others ruthlessly for probably one of the few sins they don't commit, maybe because they simply lack the temptation

Why?

The problem is that a lot of them don't 'study' the Bible and certainly don't read any material published by actual biblical scholars. In actuality when you're getting lectured by an atheist about what the Bible says it's a good bet they just googled "dumb bible verses" and are spewing out out of context stuff that was collated on some atheist site meant to provide debate ammunition and not actual understanding.

So with that in mind OP's pic is wrong because the arguments about how homosexuality is a sin derive from the New Testament, not the Old. All of that other stuff he pulled is from Leviticus, which Christians don't follow, it got replaced with the new covenant that was created with Christs blood. However there are several verses in the NT which condemn Homosexuality, so therefore Christians must obey that. The verse in Leviticus about how it's an abomination for a man to lie with another man is generally not what Christians use to justify being anti-homosexual but verses like 1 Corinthians 6

>Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

So there is nothing hypocritical about being anti-homosexuality while not following the laws of Leviticus at all, and it's one of those misunderstandings you get when people are just skimming the Bible to try and score points rather than achieve an understanding of the material Christians use to inform their beliefs.

>My question is why do many Christians fixate on the issue of homosexuality in comparison to these other sins?
Mostly because it's an issue that the Church and modern society have greatly split views on. It's worth noting that while the catechism says that homosexuality is a sin, it also says that Christians are not to in any way be prejudiced against homosexuals.

>The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.
