Because to the outside, you appear like the kind of person who would enjoy or at least use this trash. Sorry, but someone had to tell you eventually.

most people dont read. marcus aurelius is probably better/the same advice for the same group of people being targeted, without the cult of personality or memes or culture war aspects

*Extremely Kermit Voice*

Millennials with a victimhood mentality feminize and weaken The Divine Logos due to their disdain for being, so just ask the Kulaks how that worked out.

I think contextually Aurelius is even more impactful just because he was a Roman emperor whose diary was filled with "don't be full of yourself, stay calm, think about people's needs, do your duty ethically and play your role, be humble, be kind" etc. whereas somebody like Peterson is just an academic yelling at you, an audience he is conscious of, to "stop complaining! work on yourself! you're being a neo-marxist bitch right now!". Aurelius didn't know his writings were going to be published, and he wasn't making a living or even a legacy based off of his ideas about how to behave or direct his thinking/action. It's more sincere, a more authentic look at how a guy was trying to come to grips with his own life and his power based on the kinds of philosophy that appealed to him.
