Not a vague cringe, cringe towards the edginess that it bleeds. It depends how you write it, if you add an aspect of reason and kindness, you make the edginess sympathetic. Being purely venomous and fatalistic makes it cringey because you sound like a child with unbalanced, undeveloped ideas.
