Books alone won't help you leave brainlet status, it's about understanding what they're saying and putting it to use in your life. You can read as many books as you want, from Harry Potter to Nabokov but if you don't actively change then you've confirmed brainlet status instead of purging it from yourself. Ignoring what books are really saying would be like listening to music while you're asleep. With all that being said, pic related is a good place to start

/pol/ told me you're either born a brainlet or not, and there is nothing you can do about.
For the sake of the species, just do it like me and feed yourself to the wood chipper. My job at the cellulose fiber factory starts next Monday. They wouldn't want to pay me for May first.

This but unironically. There's no point to life if you're born with less than 130 IQ because you'll never be good at nor find meaning in anything. You get to spare yourself from a pathetic existence and hasten evolution simultaneously.

It's such an obvious point that to feel the need to mention it makes him a brainlet

the sensation of understanding (what you are talking about) is completely different from actual understanding.
