How do you handle telling people that you dismiss large amounts of the canon?

I have not read any Marx, Hegel, and many others. I haven't read many famous books and find many of them boring.

I completely dismiss these figures. If their philosophy is purely theoretical then I don't care. But if it has ANY predictive value with regard to the real world, then I haven't seen it. To ask a Marxist to make falsifiable predictions would be humouring them.

My bullshit detector is sounding whenever I see most continental philosophy

>you have to demonstrate other people what you've read
That's why you are a shitful pleb, not because you haven't read something.

how is the idea of falsifiability predictive?

And my retard sense is tingling when you unironically invoke Popperian falsificationism.
