Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives ... You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country. Therefore rest in peace. There is no difference between the /fit/izens and the /lit/izens to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours ... You, the mothers who sent their sons from faraway countries, wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace. After having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.

It wasn't actually that good.

/fit/ users are pretty dumb, they kept posting that quote by Socrates about fitness to justify their own vanity, and they had the most pleb taste in literature I've ever seen.

Don't need them here. Most of /lit/ exercises anyway, but we're not vapid meatheads that spend more time looking at pictures of other men than reading.

>> No.10930386

Thank fucking god. Most people who praised /fitlit/ were people from /fit/ who only read so they could be "well-read".
Not that /lit/ doesn't also do this, but the self proclaimed readers of /fit/ were far less subtle and far worse.

Exactly, it's just all masturbatory vain self-improvement. /fit/ is the kind of person that buys a few classics and leaves them on his coffee table to show people he isn't just a gym rat.

The first sting is the knowledge that one will never return to the halycon days of yesteryear
The second sting is the realisation that those days never existed in the first place.
Better to preserve the first than face the second.
