Why was Kierkegaard made fun of based on his look? He looks like probably the most handsome philisopher I've ever seen. Was it jealousy? Or did he look weird in reality? I know that he was very introverted but I don't know if he had any physical problems that could be subject to ridicule.

The most popular tabloid in Denmark made fun of everyone famous except Kierk. It embarrassed him so much that he personally requested that they made fun of him, and then they shat on him for a fully year.

Neither of them is more handsome than Kierke on that drawing. Wittgenstein had an alpha face but not particularly handsome. You should have posted Camus tbqh, he is definitely very good-looking and charming.

To capture that image of Kierkegaard's face, the artist had to lie with the back of his head resting on the top of Kierkegaard's feet and look up at him, then flip the picture upside down when he was finished. The guy was a hunchback.
