I have a really great sci-fi book which I self-published on Amazon three years ago just to see how it would do. All the reviews were surprisingly positive with only a few minor complaints (spelling mistakes) that I've revised. I took the book down after a few months of decent sales, at its best it was making like 400$/month. I did no advertising or marketing for it. Anyway the book is about 600pages long and I'm pretty proud of it.
Should I try to get it published by a real company now or should I self-publish again online and do more marketing? Maybe sent it to some bloggers/reviewers/agencies to hype it up? I dunno what to do.
Will I be able to publish it with a real paper publisher if it already existed online a few years ago? I think I read this could be a problem.
I'm also half-way through a sequel.
