Why did literature education in germany gone so wrong?
Last year we had a good book about ww2 which thaught us valuable lessons.
Now however we are reading a book that has swear words in every sentence.
Like they are thinking it's cool even though a sixty year old man who wrote it.
How did this end up in the education plan?

We had to read shit like Kabale und Liebe, Maria Stuart, Leiden des jungen Werther, Die Verwandlung, Nathan der Weiße, Sandmann, Effi Briest and Mutter Courage und ihre Kinder.

The book you posted looks interesting in comparison.

Hey Germanons, what are some good German books that are not childish and which use a somewhat simple language. I'm reading some Harry Potter but I don't really like it and was wondering if there's some classic or anything else.
