We're probably not getting TWOW until GOT is over, showfags cucked us. I would like to hear what it was like without internet for the past two years. That sounds genuinely interesting.

Oh my sweet summer child, OP is not being serious. It's a made up scenario intended to remind us that TWOW was meant to be released years ago, that if you had somehow managed to cut yourself off from the rest of the world way back then, you'd be uncertain about many things except the one fact as sure as death and taxes: that GRRM would surely have published TWOW by now. An elegant meme, for a more civilised age...

Why are so many liberal authors so slow? That being said, why aren't you reading Gene Wolfe instead? Guy is in his 80's and has more literary activity than GRRM.

>> No.10750172

Sad thing is that he's probably rewriting it all and it will be good except that he can never use any character that was on the show ever again because you just picture the actors in your mind

That is giving me hope. I used to be a huge GRRM and GoT fan, but I am seriosly getting pissed off. He has time for every kind of shit under the sun, his dumb cardgame novels, the even dumber histories of Westeros and all the noble houses, some new stupid comic convention what feels like every two weeks, thousands of words on football games nobody gives a shit about, his cinema, meanwhile Winds is fucking YEARS overdue although a considerable paart was already supposed to have been written by the time ADWD came out. Fuck you GRRM for squandering all you and that series could have been.

Shouldn't it be crushing your hope that GRRM is anything other than a fat slothful hack?

Hell, I think Wolfe has put out more books in the last ten years than Martin has. Hasn't he written, like, two novels in the last decade?

He was never obliged to finish it, he can do whatever he wants and laugh all the way to the bank.

>> No.10752745

friendly reminder that every single page from TWOW released so far has been material cut from ADWD, and there is no evidence that GRRM (writer) wrote a single page since 2011

/tv/ said that he's rewriting his manuscripts to be more in line with the show

please tell me this isn't true

considering the ratio of bad reviews of GOT to original plot points used in the show used is pretty much 1:1, I really doubt it.
