Thrawn was soooo boring.
Okay setup, but no payoff. Zahn sucks. I wish I had read Le Guin instead.

The shorts from these are cute slices, imo.

The only one I read was Glove/Fist/Hand of Vader. I read it when I was 8 so it was probably shit. The only other Star Wars book I had was the language/translation book that taught you how to say basic shit in languages throughout the Star Wars Universe. That was pretty fun as a kid too.

Pic related is the language book I'm talking about. Pretty cool if you are seriously into Star Wars.

I like to believe that the books Yoda burned were the best books, and that they represent civilization, self mastery, wisdom, knowledge and all things holy.

How could I forget learning! Ha, what is left is a being without learning, without history and without culture. Mere reactive agent, acting out the impulses given by the world. See that advertisement? You have no recorded past experiences where you were distrustful or wise.

Did you miss the part at the end where Rey put the books in the falcon?

Episode 3 novelisation, Matt Stover one, is actually pretty good space opera.
Stuff that's decent just for star wars, I guess the thrawn trilogy (old one) and x-wing series+I, Jedi. Neither of these stack up to most good sci-fi, though I maintain that the X-wing series are really good "pulp" stuff if you like flight descriptions.
