I'm using the Standford Encyclopedia of Philosophy to learn more about philosophy in my free time. Besides reading, thinking and writing what could I do to enhance and improve my learning?

Can you suck your own p33p yet?

SEP is great to start, and if you read and write by yourself I'd say you are already on track.
The only way you can make things better, in my opinion, is to get off 4chan and talk to people irl about philosophy and the things you read. Here you can't have serious discussions, everything is nihilistic cancer, everyone is said and it is an overall toxic environment for everyone :D

Study math or programming?

What do you mean? I don't think following hyperlinks around to just what interests you is the best way to really learn. Try approaching things more genealogically and read primary sources, just reference it when you encounter concepts/individuals you aren't aware of or don't fully understand.

Like finding other students or talking about philosophy to random people?

>>10540493
For example I can make a lot of experiments and reports at home while learning chemistry or botanics. Anything similar for philosophy? Though experiments? What about phenomelogical research?

Pick up an idea. Now 'debug' it. Fastest way to learn.

you can apply it to 4chan too. in your own ideas/arguments and that of others. you may find it easier, as you're more invested.

Keep in mind that it's an encyclopedia. It gives you an overview of things, but it wont offer the deepest or most detailed accounts.

So after SEP I should:

>choose a specific topic
>read original sources about this topic
>pick and idea
>discuss this idea on the light of my topic of study

Anything else?
