I'm 30, we met when I was 27. She owns a gallery in meatpacking and I was trying to get a show. She told me I was worthless as an artist and actually proposed that she would take care of me and I said yes.

I eventually pushed for wanting more security so we got married with no prenup. So now I'm more rich then I would have ever imagined becoming.

Petersburg is my favorite book and yeah a lot of people compare it to Ulysses. Much of the action takes place in a stressful 24 hours but does not take place within 24 hours like Ulysses. Much of the word play and references in the original Russian can be compared to Ulysses. It's one of the greatest Russian novels of all time and should be read, even in translation. It inspired me to learn Russian.
