Can someone explain journaling to me? Never seems to work out for me.

You write down your thoughts.

It is literally that simple you fucking troglodyte

And if I never seem to keep up with it?

That's your own fault and I'm sure has more to do with your inability to commit to anything than writing in and of itself

probably more to do with having a endlessly boring life if I'm being honest.

When I journal I start by writing how my day went. Even if it was really boring. Because I'm trying to improve my handwriting, it goes really slowly, by the time I finish writing about my day my brain is already drifted off into a dozen other thoughts about things, I just start writing one down and then another thought pops into my head as I write that one. Then I fill a page and stop.

Journaling is easy if you actually enjoy writing. If you don't then consider it a daily chore. Either way if you don't journal every single day there's no point in it.

I've been journaling recently and I've found that it helps with putting my recurring thoughts into words and being able to understand them, I've also become more aware of them. I am able to talk about things that I wouldn't necessarily talk about with others.

Get a fountain pen so it's fun to write.

anything can be worth writing unless you think otherwise

If you don't enjoy journaling then don't do it.

It's so simple

>> No.9658319

you don't have to have an interesting life for journaling, my life is a boring piece of shit but i write everyday, don't you think during the day

I do think, but I think so much that by the time I get to journaling I've already thought to myself about everything.

My whole life I've been told I think too much/fast.
