You lads disappoint me.That sword isn't a fucking katana: look at it. Look at the hilt. It's a Burmese Dha sword. In November 1946, journalist and photographer Vernon Richards was commissioned to take photos of Orwell and Richard in the Canonbury flat. He took pics of Orwell doing random everyday things over three days, including showing off that sword from Burma that was hanging on his bedroom wall. Remember Burmese Days? He mentions a French Catholic priest, among others, being hacked to death with "a dah sword." He brought one home himself.
