zizek said that to be provocative.

He said he would vote for Trump in order to communicate to people that things are seriously wrong with their political system.

He views the rise of Trump as final proof of the failure of pro-captalist liberalism.

Trump. I will admit that my reasons had nothing to do with Trump himself, nothing he could possibly do personally would have greater consequences than a Supreme Court stacked by leftists. My personal opinion is that the ideal makeup of the Federal Government is this:

SCOTUS: Republican
Executive: Democrat
Senate: Even Split/Minor Democrat Lead
House: Republican

In these conditions the country seems to do best. That is a personal observation however. One thing that must never be allowed to happen is a Democrat mastery in the SCOTUS or a Republican 3/4ths majority in the Senate or the country will simply implode.

I voted for Clinton because Trump is an actual stupid person. He doesn't know what he's going to do on many issues, and spouts off about really divisive and potentially harmful shit like nuclear weapons without really knowing what he's talking about. He's an SJW inflaming meme.
I thought Clinton would be a better president and hoped an actual good republican candidate would come along in 4 years.
I really don't like Clinton and on election night was almost happy Trump had won, it was such a crazy idea.
That quickly faded back to wishing for pneumonia lady.

I didn't vote because my state votes blue no matter what. I was pleased that Trump won and the media got completely humiliated.

If there were any proper critiques of Trump during the election then I didn't see any. The hysteria overshadowed everything else.

I didn't like Clinton, but I didn't like Trump very much either, he sounded like a bullshitter. Like a con man trying to sell you something with fake confidence, bravado, and vague promises.

Voted for Trump. He will either fuck up terribly and accelerate the present political system toward its inevitable death, or he really will make America great again. That said, the more and more I've privately rallied against modern liberals, the more I find myself championing traditionalist values. The Left are too caught up in identity politics to be /lit/, anyway. True ideals, respect for prosperity and traditions is /lit/. Greatness is /lit/.

>> No.9015298

The left is thriving and identity politics is a miniscule percentage. You are very much incorrect. Trump is just another carefully constructed tool of the establishment and nothing he does will ever benefit the common man. He might sign a few executive orders, he may give powerful, long speeches, he might look personable because there is a picture of him supposedly eating McDonald's but at heart he is part of the bourgeois class and thinking he will lead the country in the right direction and give the average person a better life is comedic wishful thinking. There is so much wrong with this. For one, his children running his multi billion dollar brand. Can anyone here say conflict of interest? The class of people in charge in your country recognize the growing frustration and anger among the lower classes and Trump was like giving a sick kid a dose of cough syrup. NOTHING will change, America will never be great again (debatable whether it was in the first place). Don't be a fool.
