Stirner is the perfect philosopher to get memed because anyone who understands him would see that it doesn't matter. If a person dismisses him because of his meme status then that means they never understood him to begin with.

And, going further, egoism is often used to come to a socialist conclusion—or, more mistakenly, socialism is used to come to an egoistic conclusion.

>> No.8501025

>>8500970
I'm aware, but as far as I am concerned, it's all spookery. How many people are there out there, wasting their time on meaningless ideological campaigns that will never amount to anything? Union of egoists and all that - nice, perhaps, but so long as it is not in reach (which probably means the rest of my life, or at least the foreseeable future) I'd rather concern myself with my own cause.
But I'd even argue that egoist socialism in most forms is not left: equality (i.e. what "left" usually stands for) is not an end on it's own, not an ideal, it's simply a pragmatic device.

>You are wrong.
Nope, Might > Right.

"Mistakes" are either interests you don't agree with or lacks in might (knowledge, self-restraint); whichever, they are asking men to be what they aren't and couldn't be, in service of an external, superior, "right" cause.

If anything to live responsibly is to not think of one's actions as mistakes: to not say "the real me wouldn't have done this, when I did this I wasn't acting as myself" when we see blood in our hands--this is not to say that you can't be interested in changing your habits.
