I'm going to get a BA in English, and I'm considering double majoring to get a BA in Humanities.
Any of you guys done something similar? Tips advice?

i have an english degree and now work as a programmer, i'm not that good but i speak french and german can co-ordinate with foreign companies and dont have autism like half the people i work with so my boss seems to value that

if youre smart and dedicated you can become a lecturer or whatever, i know a couple of people on this path and it sounds simultaneously soul crushing and rewarding

if youre a dosser and dont care you can always become a teacher (or if you really want to teach, it's an admirable vocation that should be paid more)

otherwise you can pretty much do what you want as youre young but careers that simply centre around your 'skills' you get from your english degree (a lot of my colleagues do seem to lack basic comprehension skills and a general cultural understanding for instance, and i think my degree helped with these a lot) are generally low paid for your level of education, unless you try to merge them with other skills

It's one language. Literally. It's not even a foreign language in your case
Wtf is the point?
