If that's actually the case, OP, then realize that to "attain enlightenment" and to "kill your ego" you should proceed in the exact opposite direction Nietzsche indicated. So before we get into this why don't we define what we mean by "masculinity?" To try and keep this as empirical as possible, let's define masculinity as the behavioral traits associated with testosterone. These might include aggression, decisiveness, competitiveness and protectiveness to name only a few and lets not forget the physical characteristics affected by testosterone (i.e. increased height and muscle mass).

These traits transcend individual cultures and are found in depictions of "ideal" men everywhere. There is no culture that imagines its archetypal man as a mincing weakling because human masculinity is grounded in biology. It is not a social construct.
