Pretty sure that people on /lit have discussed meeting up in NYC before, but I'm not sure how it turned out. I've been tempted to start a meetup.com group for such a thing, but I just don't care enough. You're all cynical assholes and so am I. Saw it for the first time in a thread a couple of months ago, which was was a discussion about how Zizek gets so much tail. Changed "foucaultian" to "foucauldian" but that's it. I consider myself pretty familiar with Zizek, but I don't know if I'd ever be able to replicate his speaking style. It's kind of spot on isn't it?

I had been listening to previous lectures Zizek and Rushdie had done (separately) at the NYC library and decided to see if they were hosting anyone else anytime soon and I noticed Zizek was on the schedule. I'm not sure about how to check his entire speaking schedule for the year or anything.
