So "spook" just means "meme", right?

>> No.5889355

Spoons are concepts Stirnerites don't feel like engaging with on a serious level.
Hegel is the philosopher of memes.

I think the idea of 'spooks' is an interesting and important one, but, ultimately, the spook is a spook.

>> No.5889409

it's an important idea if you plan to live a life down to earth without being totally blasted by people that doesn't decide according to morals and whatnot.

it makes you decide without been forced to do the right thing or the wrong thing, or the honest thing, etc.

it's like a big 'just b urself'

The original meaning of meme includes things that would be considered spooks, not all memes are spooks though.

>the spook is a spook
The spook is merely a higher or fixed idea that controls you. So long as your dislike for spooks isn't based on axioms and is merely an aesthetic or emoutinal choice, there's nothing really contidictory about it. If you want to be controlled by spooks, that's fine. The problem is with stirner, is that the way he frame's the word makes it sound intuitively undesirablle.
