Castle to Castle is good, Manheim's translation is canon, if you like it you can give the two following a try. They're a trilogy about his experience during WWII and subsequent exile to Denmark

Also Death on Credit is the end of Bardamu's life after the Journey so I'd say it's mandatory although lesser-known.
