I have only read his ideas on language (defining the undefinable, etc.), and I found them surprisingly sensible for all the hate he gets on here. But that's just me. I haven't yet read his other stuff.

I created one of the draw max stirner threads and saved all those, so probably a lot. And sure I agree with his philosophy.

cos he's right? Seriously, the only arguments that have been brought forth against him are misreadings based on the idea that the Einziger is a philosophical concept (it's not, check his reply to his critics 'Stirner's Critics') or 'I don't want this to be true so it's obviously wrong'. The history of Stirner's reception and lack thereof is fascinating, check out Bernd Laska's work.

I can almost picture Engels handing Stirner his drawing that he sketched of him, and Stirner being tsundere about it.

I am grateful to the one guy who made a thread 1 1/2 years ago asking 'so did Nietzsche just rip off Stirner?'. That lead me to a year of trying to write a PhD on Stirner, was pretty fun.

while reading Stirner I noticed some similarities to post-structuralism (I had first read about him as a precursor of it, actually), then I found out some people have made this comparison already, then I found out that actually they are only similar from far away, from up close they are not really compatible. If I ever do finish it, the plan is to deal with Foucault, Derrida and Deleuze (which is more or less too much, and I know almost nothing about Derrida and Deleuze, so it's a dumb idea). I hate on post-structuralists a lot on /lit/ (and at uni), what is worst about them is that they include legitimate impulses but tie them down in bullshit...
