when it comes to Schopenhauer it makes more sense celebrating his death day.

but I am glad his genius was bestowed upon our world nonetheless. happy birthday to one of the best thinkers that ever lived.

Why is it always the pessimists and the sad folks that seem to be the kindest and most thoughtful, bros?

>Many evenings were spent in the theatre, opera and ballet; Schopenhauer especially liked the operas of Mozart, Rossini and Bellini.[122]
>Richard Wagner became one of the earliest and most famous adherents of the Schopenhauerian philosophy.[150] The admiration was not mutual, and Schopenhauer proclaimed: "I remain faithful to Rossini and Mozart!"
difficult to answer who was his favorite favorite, but Mozart was among them.

what surprises me is that he was weirdly quiet about Bach.
