I don´t know man,i feel like this is problem of society,i am not going to mind that literature in medieval times or ancient Rome or Greece was sometimes hard,but i doubt was that hard now.
I mean if no one cared or bought,would there still be GOT or Berserk?.

LOTR is better. Berserk is probably better than GoT (Jap nihilism is more ancient and thus more refined than fat westerner mcdonalds nihilism), but it's still a huge power gap between Berserk and LOTR.

I think berserk is a lot more anti-nhilist than anything, if I'm tbhing. Guts and Griffith both understood the intrinsic valuelessness of the world, and still created their own, giving hope and purpose to the infinite miasma of despair. They lit their fires in the dark, it's no wonder so many people today identify with their struggles and triumphs. Probably not Griffith for most, but I like him for that reason.

I hate this stupid bullshit. Miura stopped giving a shit about Berserk a decade before he died. He was putting out one chapter a year, if that, for years. He was starting other projects because he'd rather make his loli/shota shit than put anything more than the bare minimum of work into Berserk.

One piece isnt that horrible because its actually mostly about the adventure. I stopped watching/reading at the japanese isleand they were at like 4 years ago and I would be perfectly fine if Oda droped dead right now, because its the kind of story with outstanding questions, but thats more a background thing. Ive even done it before where I went cold turkey on one pice for like 3 years and just got caught up all at once fine
