Being a noted antisemite (even for his day) and Hitler's favourite composer doesn't help, especially when the entirety of post-war academia was taken over by Jews. A critical edition will have an apparatus containing textual differences and such things. The top part of the pic is a random page from his writings. The bottom part is a random page from his Bible translation. His Bible translation had numerous editions and revisions which would account for the amount of volumes. You can look at the volumes yourself here:
