The complete opposite is true. Furthermore that concept applies beyond any single philosophy.
Humanity is not perfect, and therefore everyone should be held indefinitely accountable, and punished and tortured beyond the limits of space and time. There is no defense that can be offered to redeem the depths of human disappointment and failure. Philosophers and politicians and religious leaders who experience falls from grace are the barest outlines of a prototype for the rest of us. Not a single person in history has gotten fucked as hard as each one or us deserves.
