Hello /lit/.

I have created a future referential "pathfinder" for my home library.

This contains a list of topics that have numerous books listed under them, with an accompanying number that designates which section of my library you can find said book in.

Please help me come up with new topics, as I've exhausted the obvious possibilities halfway through the book itself.

I will post the sections, the topics so far, and a picture of my library. This is also good for anyone looking to create "charts" or use these as text-based "charts".

No need to reinvent the wheel, plenty have dedicated their professional lives to developing library classifications systems, take you pick.

It's for a HOME library you fucking retard. OP explained this. Wouldn't be useful to use another bibliography if it doesn't have the same books as the home library. that's like using a store's inventory list to organize your own home.

Yes. Every title is listed by the spine’s text, rather than the actual cover’s title or actual title of the book, making it easier to find said book on the shelf.

Feel free to request any topic page you’d like to see.

I’m mainly looking for topics that would contain books in my library. Anything goes. I will post the finished topic page for good suggestions as well.

Library classification systems are not a third party list of books. Have you ever even been in a library?

OP here. This pathfinder would be used to navigate the books in my possession by topic. My library is organized by 30 “sections” and this pathfinder lists varying and overlapping “topics” through which you can find books across multiple sections that reference or pertain to that topic. For example, many books appear in many topics, but each book is only organized by one section.

I do not care about how libraries organize their books, because I have around 600 books and have them organized how I would prefer.

OP is literally rolling his own classification system regardless of what he calls it.

>> No.22299115

>>22299105
I get that, cross reference and all that is part of library classification systems. Either way, card catalog will work better than a notebook since you can easily rearrange the cards or insert in the middle, etc, The pages never fill up so you will never have to redo it all because it has become a mess.

OP here. I’m going to agree with the thread and say you miss the point entirely. Also this system works perfectly for me so stuff it.

Pic not related. Neoliberalism is pretty much finished as far as my library goes.

there are other classification systems then dewey including ones designed around what OP is trying to do.

Oddly my library is pretty much arranged by dewey, but not labeled or anything, it just sort of happened because I spend so much time in libraries.
