The book seems to carried purely by it's dialogue and characters because the story is severely lacking and shallow. Is it strange that im finding it boring? I have an urge to drop it but i'll continue if the later books become better.

It’s a book for 10 year olds. Of course it’s shallow

Read Earthsea Chronicles if you want a magic world with wizards, but a well-written and interesting one. That's all Harry Potter is, anyway, a poor man's version of it. Then later it became a terrible LOTR wannabe.

While they are meant for children they get slightly more adult as they go on. I was 11 when I read the first book so I sort of grew up reading the series in a way. I enjoyed them until the 7th book and I'll never read em again. I did also listen to it on CD and I gotta say it may have been the best reading of a book I heard just because of his voices.

This meme would be great if its author invented rationale for the prerequisites

3rd book is when it starts to get more interesting. Harry ages as the series progresses and the stories get more sophisticated. Still, it's a fun series for kids/teens. Don't expect incredible depth.

Unironically the book series that saved reading to an extent. Hell, I know plenty of people that never would have been readers without growing up with the HP books. It may not be the most deep fantasy series, but it's still fun and easy. I do enjoy the extended lore of the Wizarding World universe.
Grindelwald > Voldemort.
Why the fuck couldn't Rowling just create a separate BOOK (not movie) series about the Global Wizarding War? Honestly, the Fantastic Beasts films were shit but would've worked better as novels. TFW will never see the 'greatest wizarding duel of all time' (Grindelwald vs Dumbledore).
