>milk is for the pussy
he just wanted to portray that the meaning of language is inherently contextual, as the word "pussy" describes both female genitalia and a feline, the sentence "milk is for the cat" is very much appropriate

Can someone tell me why witty didn't off himself? All his brothers (ish; the good ones, I'm sure) did, and he spent his life talking about it—pure cowardice? And in the end he even (intra-agonies, no doubt) regrets his soon to be non-existence!

I'm both jealous and frightened that someone with both a great deal more power in the world and his place in it, and with such a greater intellect than I possess still finds himself lost and adrift in life, quite incapable of either finding contentment or suicide.

>"Do you think Russell has ever sat in a bull-doh-zer before?" he asked. "No" I replied "I doubt Russell ever has". He seemed bathed in the most sublime ecstasy as he told me, "You know, i really do believe there is a God"

Suicide and it's effect on people's a funny ol' thing. You can go through phases where it's nearly all you want, where you spend weeks and months in your depression hoping to just fade away and never come back.
I'm a chronic pain patient and my condition will only get worse. I have friends and other pain patients I know and suicide isn't taboo to talk about, we acknowledge those feelings and those friends we lose along the way, we have those holes where people used to be and we know that ideas about suicide are inevitable and accepting that's a big part. Learning to interact with mortality and suicide, talking about it is better than treating it sensitively with kiddy gloves.

As for what keeps you in it? What keeps you going is the unknown.
It's the drive to see what comes after, no matter how much more you'll suffer by being alive. Yes there's the pussy aspect, just do it, see if it hurts, see if there's an afterlife but it also takes a lot of bravery to keep going through life when you know you hate your place in the world. While you'll inevitably hate aspects of the world, it's love that keeps you going day in day out, even when it's at it's weakest. Think of everything that's happened up to today and retroactively snuff yourself out 10 years ago. All those experiences and joyful things you'd never have had, now apply it to tomorrow.
It's those little pockets, those flourishes that make life worth living when most of your existence is suffering.

People who kill themselves give in to weakness, don't see anything, have extremely poor judgement in the moment, are incredibly stupid or are chronically depressed with nothing they love or care for.
I'll sure end up as a hypocrite for saying that last point when I rope 5 years down the line.

If this isn't pasta thanks for taking the time. Hope things look up for you.

Can't say I'd regret much if I died ten years ago, though, really non existence would've been preferable. I really have never experienced anything that I'd say was life defining, let alone life justifying. Perhaps it will happen in the future. Maybe; but it seems less likely if the only two locales I frequently move between are my home and my home within a home, my noose.

Courage! We'll all die one day and our sufferings will be over.
