I'm thinking of converting to Catholicism because it has a bunch of saints with super powers, similar to the superheroes in the Marvel movies I enjoy. Which saints had the best superpowers?

Pic related: he's a Catholic (although non-practicing).

Catholicism is cool because it has the most gods of any religion. Saints are all deities and are worshiped like idols.

It really is staggering to see the sheer intellectual brokenness of anti-Catholics - it's like watching tumors write.

Since this is a Catholicism thread I will take this opportunity.
Any reccs for Catholic mysticism. I'm quite intrigued by the Orthodox concept of Theosis. However, I feel that my Western mindset would make it more difficult for me to be Orthodox.

The orthodox church and the catholic church are 99% similar and the 1% dissimilarity is blown out of proportion because of relative deprivation.

Look into Hindusim. The gods and heroes are like anime characters.

"Saints" don't have any special power and god isn't real

Is this bait or am I retarded? I feel as if the emphasis on Aristotelian rationalism exemplified by Scholasticism in Catholicism versus the mystical emphasis on subjective experience of the saints in Orthodox theology is huge.

Until the 18th century or so, Orthodox seminarians and the like would study in the west. The “Catholic=Artistotlean=Scholastic=BAD, Orthodox=Platonist=Mystical=Good” attitude is largely confined to the anglosphere, and only in the last couple centuries. There are Orthodox scholastics like John Damascene and of course the Confession of Dositheus (which explicitly uses the word “Transubstantiation” to describe what happens with the Eucharist). There are plenty of Catholic mystics.

Unfortunately, a small but influential group of Orthodox scholars in the Anglophone west has attempted to radically divest Orthodoxy from any similarity with Catholicism, presumably to look better in the eyes of the American Protestant tradition which has always been suspicious of Catholicism.

t. Orthodox
