To be fair, I wouldn't consider Deleuze a leftist philosopher. If you consider his ouvre as a whole (specially his solo works), you will see that he's in spirit a classical philosopher and that his leftism doesn't seem to be a necessary conclusion to his thought. He was definitively a leftist, but he was a philosopher who happened to be leftist. I think his political reputation comes from his collaboration with Guattari (who was a weaker philosopher and seemed to be entirely focused on 68ist protests).

Marxism in the context of critical studies is a method of material analysis. It's a theoretical method, not a political model or statesmanship.

They copied Autonomia Operaia: actual workers in struggle had uncovered that ideology is a bourgeois apparatus through praxis, and this is what happens when you dress that finding from the factory floor up in ENS.

Two obtuse horizontalist post-structuralist Marxists who have all of the language failings of the Normal Higher University from Paris, while having all of the obtusity of action of the Northern Italian dissident workerist Marxists.

They write about mental illness a fair bit. They're kind of like a Kant barrier to post-structuralism: if you can't be bothered putting in the effort to read the most difficult person who actually tried, why would I want to read your opinion on Judith Butler or Kierkegaard for that matter?

Unfortunately Americans translated them, so they're utterly incomprehensible in English on the whole.

i want to understand them but they have that disease where they have to be obscure and impossible to understand like hegel and kant. I wanted to know how their philosophy effected art and what where their aesthetics because i know they wrote a book on Francis bacon, one of my favorite painters, but i just couldnt find anything, or understand it.

t. artist and not philophizer

I know their philosophy inspired acceltrionism though

Truth is truth. It does not matter who found it. Marx himself ended up appropriated by French New Right and Aron, and arguably in a more relevant manner than by left-wing thinkers.

not if you understand where are they coming from and you can easily do that if you read Deleuze's solo work
>and what's there is clearly in praise of "shaking things up" and not following an existing pattern and becoming a schizo mess because the world is just so, like, stratified, dude.
they again and again repeat that they are in favour of a sober way of thinking and not just making associations for the sake of it. They think any way of thinking that has a relation with reallity will not fit with pre existing patterns in their view, sure, but they think thats something passive (see chapter three of Difference and Repetition). Its the complete opposite of when academic or non academic wankers take their style and apply it inside academia
And the same thing applies on the praxis they suggest, they dont want people to just blow themselves apart lol, specially Deleuze
your read of them (if you have read them at all) is the same people who make a fetish out of them do

You have to understand that France was riddled with communists and socialists in all layers of society (especially the higher layers) .
Even now France is ruled by socialists, more or less in disguise.
France has still not recovered from a century of socialism, and miterrand totally destroyed any skills the Bureaucrats may had... A french bureaucrat is a subhuman piece of shit .

All the old politicians nowadays were the young champagne leftist assholes who embarked into politics in the miterrand era and they turned france to shit in less than 40 years by refusing to do anything for the country, but pushing for more muslims and that's it.
All the problems France has right now stems from those scumbags.

>le truth
D&G philosophy has nothing to do with 'truth', and in the end, it is not digestible for the right. At most, the right can use D&G terminology to make shallow arguments about the historical context ---a la Baudrillard. That doesn't mean anything about D&G having some sort of continuity with the right; just as it does not have a continuity with the communist left ---like Fisher and the like who uses D&G terminology to repeat post-modernist anglo-marxism (Jameson and Adorno inspired misserabilism). The right may have Nick Land, but they are utterly retarded if they cannot see how Land has to leave D&G gnosseological perspective in order to become a right winger; last decade Land is just anti-comunist Adorno, even if right wing closseted trannies want to believe he is still related to actual intensive materialism, and not just a techonomics subjected to a primal socio-cultural dialectic.
