Are you guys dumb? It's a known thing in American for people to call the police on black dudes even if they're just sleeping in their car, and some of these incidents can result in unfair shootings. Saying that something's "only sleeping" is also a typical euphemism when it's actually dead.
So it's basically a poetic way of saying "I murdered a black man because I'm racist, but it's okay."
