Is it plagiarism to steal from your own dreams? I wake up and can barely write a single sentence but in my dreams I'm writing pages and pages of all this great stuff. Full pages of dialogue in my dreams while I can barely write a sentence normally. Why the fuck are our brains like this? Why can't I just do this shit normally? It's always completely unrelated to what I'm actually writing though so I never use it but it's still good. It's not lucid dreaming though I don't control it all. I wonder if I lucid dreamed would I just turn back into my dumb retarded self like I have some alternate dreaming brain. It's funny I also have these recurring dreams too where I'm picking up all these girls on the streets but I'm actually incredibly funny and charming and keeping the conversations flowing great and I wake up and I can't even recreate the shit I was doing if I tried. My dream me is a straight Chad and genius which means I have the ability to be like this but then I wake up and am an awkward fuck who isn't funny or charming or a genius writer. Why brain do this to me

Refuse to read any further than that.

Can you actually reproduce what you write in your dreams? Or do you just have a feeling that it's brilliant? The reason you can't recreate your dreams where you're picking up chicks is that there's another person involved. In your dreams you're just talking to yourself. A reaction you can't anticipate throws your game off.

I can actually reproduce it and it's good stuff. These dreams rarely happen though. Maybe once a month if that. I could maybe make it happen more if I thought really hard about trying to write before going to bed

It's going to sound like I'm trolling but I'm 100% serious. I can't remember any of them like how you always forget the dream 5 minutes after waking up. I've never actually written these down because they were never related to anything I was doing and I wasn't going to just write down random dialogue and scenes. So it would just be me waking up going ("wow that was pretty good why can't I write like that normally" and then crawling out bed and going on with my day. From now on I will write them down simply to save them and will post them in a future thread. I made this thread immediately after waking up and having the girl dreams which I why made this. I remembered how I had all those dreams of me sitting at a table alone and writing a novel on a typewriter

2 night ago I dreamt a secret Dosto novel was uncovered and I had to read the whole damned thing in my dream. Anyway in your dreams you are the best you can be. Take full inspiration from them. Personally I live a parallel life in my dreams.

If you accept the freud/jung dream framework, then the dream you is just you without the "noise" of outside social pressure and post-instinct justification. Unironically just bee yourself.

> I've never actually written these down
so for all you know, they suck and just seemed good in your personal dream-state

I knew they were good when I woke up and thought about it in that 3 minute span

It's multiple submission not plagiarism.
