Don't need to be autistic to remember a number. Current reads; The Sheltering Sky page 103 - chapter 17, Finding a Form page 313 - Part 5 - The Music of Prose, The Opposing Shore page 51 - chapter 4 - The Ruins of Sagra. It is not difficult, before you put the book down just read the page number.

my copy of The Hot Zone by Richard Preston had one of those charts people chart periods and sex on when theyre trying to get pregnant. Bunch of charts and graphs about temperature and amount of vaginal juice, it was funny because it had exact dates where this couple fucked
