Is it right to say that Luther and protestants more generally denied the significance of miracles? Miracles amount to saying that God has not yet said his last word and run directly against the doctrine of sola scriptura.

The miracle skepticism started with Calvin, who doubted some of the more ridiculous stories of the saints. He thought that miracles are only given at specific parts in history and have ceased since the apostolic age
