America truly is the Rome, Qin, or Ottomans of European civilization.
European or Faustian Civilization is essentially swallowing the whole world, through technology and other culture forms. World leaders wear suits. Their cities are filled with skyscrapers.
Machine civilization is a Faustian invention, and this is the means which is swallowing the world. America was built on assimilating various conflicting settlers, Puritans, Presbyterians, Germans, French, etc. It makes the US very good at assimilating people, and it's performing this function on the whole world. This is why it's always a few years ahead of global cultural developments.
