I used to read books for school and stuff but was always a slow reader and it was never a hobby of mine. I'm trying to get back into it and started a book for the first time in years. How fast do you all read? Is there a way to get faster at it? Do you read every day? In long bursts or just a few pages here and there?
Part of the anxiety I have around reading is that it used to feel like I had a book hanging over me for weeks and weeks so I'd like to try to get through them faster

I go through at 10 pages an hour, and feel exhausted afterwords. Even when I'm in the library without any of my technology; I start staring at people and get distracted by the world around me. Gonna try the beach next. Think I have actual ADHD, cause coffee knocks me out too.

Your pace will probably pick up the more you read. But just take your time. I read about 20-25 pages in an hour depending on font size. Starting out, I’ll maybe read a chapter a day, but it increases if I enjoy it.

It will always depend on what you're reading. Lighter stuff, I can probably get through 30ish pages in an hour, but if the content or prose is heavier then it will take me longer. Don't worry about how long it will take you, fren, just look at the book after some time and enjoy how far you've come from the start :)
