Can we talk about how Neil Gaiman is like a fucking leech. Talent aside, he's constantly latching himself onto other creators. I swear every time I browse a wikipedia page of a deceased writer, this dudes name appears.
Here he is pretending to understand science:

It's a fun game to play. Look up a writer on wikipedia and see if Neil's name pops up

Neil has been a voracious collaborator all his life. He's a friendly bloke. The only flaw I really see in him, ignoring his sjw leanings, is when he was sniffing his daughter's panties. I read his blog way back and from someone who orders used teenage panties online, I can tell when a dude is ONE OF US. And that dude was sniffing his daughter's panties.

Sadly this is probably the future of literature. Most other creative industries (music, film, tv, even contemporary painting and sculpture) use collaboration to cross-promote artists that make similar work. Considering how easy it is to collaborate on a text document, I’m amazed it’s not already the norm.

The comedy of it? Gaiman was raised a Scientologist and it is rumored he still is

He at the very least donates a shitton of money to scientology because they require it just for him to be able to see his family.

Gaiman has always kinda rubbed me the wrong way because most of the stuff he writes is just quirky retellings of mythology/religion that removes all of the weight of whatever it is. It's like Gaiman read Tolkien's criticism of inoffensive Shakespeare fairies, and then made it his entire oeuvre to take every single mythology/religion/folklore and make it as whimsically Shakespeare-fairy-esque as possible.

Stop pathologising normal Jewish behaviours like sniffing your own daughter's panties. This is how holocausts happen.

Happens to be on a world tour, whose last stop is in New Zealand, just as the Covid pandemic struck.
Manages to contact Neil Gaiman, who travels to New Zealand just before the quarantine lockdowns are put in place.

Convenient and interesting timing.
