The Mass Market Paperback is objectively the best
>Portable
>Easier to hold
>Significantly cheaper
>Smaller design leaves books feeling understated
>Filters those who need oceans of white space between each line, thus also filtering most illiterate genrefags.

If it's over 1000 pages, I prefer hard cover. I want to build a little ramp to set those big tomes on so I don't break my back trying to read it on the table.

Paperbacks are damaged by the simple act of using them for their intended purpose. Read ebooks or hardcovers because paperbacks are unironic trash.

>> No.19489662

I'm always surprised that people seem to think that hardcovers are somehow impractical when paperbacks over 500-600 pages are an awful reading experience. How are hardcover books in any way difficult to read? I get hardcovers for almost everything, you can get them used for dirt cheap on AbeBooks

I ain't paying $100 for a signed leatherbound complete with full-page colored illustrations and actually fucking thumbing through them like an ape and ruining 'em.
