It's important to understand that newfags will hear about lit, then come here and make a thread without checking the catalog at all. If they gave a post cool down for 10 or 15 minutes when you first come on to the site it would force you to browse the catalog every time you open up the website. Don't know how it would be implemented. I don't really care that much it's easy to hide threads that don't interest me. Your thread is about to get hidden btw

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Ban posting from phones. The board population instantly drops 60%, post quality shoots up 500%, average post length goes up 200% and there are suddenly no more glorified upvote/downvote posts from bored zoomers using the board as their third discord channel.

In any sense, I think some debating/writing thread should be had once a week. Winner picks theme. No voting. It'd be a ton more interesting. You could limit the theme to literature/philosophy/religion. It would just change the background and/or get a pinned thread for the week. There's just a lot of rehashing of stuff. Kinda a wasteland.
