Linkedin makes me so depressed bros. I’m looking at my peers and their polished resumes and extracurriculars and internships and I’m realizing how fucked I truly am. Plus most of them are attractive. It’s over.

Stop looking at social media (yes Linkedin is social media) and you will miraculously start feeling better.

They're not better than you, they're better at playing the game than you.

There is nothing stopping you from also doing some bullshit and making a nice Linkedin from it

Everyone feels the same way. Everyone feels like shit. The people who have nice LinkedIns feel like shit and envy people who have better ones than they do. Not only that, but they feel their own accomplishments are worthless and, if they have a lot of stuff on their LinkedIn, they probably feel like a bit of an impostor as well. In a world of endless unstable hierarchies, relentless self-centredness, and neverending ambition and desire, no-one wins, even the people supposedly at the very top. Everyone just feels like shit instead.

If you're not a retard, you'll soon end up in a low-stress, low-responsibility bullshit job that still pays the bills and you'll love that you don't have to waste your life doing shit that will look good on a resume so that you can get a high-stress, high-responsibility job that gives you more money to consume a bunch of shit that won't make you happy.

It’s not about social media; it’s about a particular backbiting aspect of the human condition.
“Keeping up with the Joneses” has been a thing in one form or another probably since agriculture aka the fall of man.

>> No.19368268

>>19368160
no it hasn't, it's been a way to deal with complexes and feelings of inferiority, not their cause. you're just sad and disappointed and for some reason consider it the logical outcome or some kind of human condition.
maybe you thought you were smart in high school and now your friends are more successful. maybe you don't have love. this is not "the human condition" or "the fall of man". this is a consequence of your choices.
plenty of people are happy, loving, and willing to give to their neighbours. this is, in fact, the human condition.

i'm happy and giving out to others without expecting anything in return. i have control over my life and could completely change it tomorrow if i wished. i have love and my hope for the future is not "it will change".
i'm not trying to troll, discuss, or analyse you. i'm trying to help you. the problem is not in social media or the human condition. your emotions are not a logical outcome of your thoughts, it's the other way around. it's not obligatory to feel like shit. it's not anybody's fault. you can change all this if you're strong.
