I view them as having very similar intellectual projects, just approached from different angles. Marx wanted to uncover the economic factors that influenced and controlled “free rational agents” and the history of philosophy, and Nietzsche wanted to uncover the biological factors that did the same thing. On that level, they complement each other nicely and there isn’t much to reconcile.
Obviously they do have disagreements, but on fundamental questions of metaphysics, epistemology, and methodological approaches to philosophy, I don’t think they’re that different.
