It's a good book you humourless queer. It's not the greatest thing in the world but it's pretty funny.

I stopped after the 2nd book where he throws the guide into the river. It was a good ending.

Reddit must be doing something right to make mfs this mad

This put-on 4chan hate for Reddit has literally lasted for 10+ years now

Isn't life easy when you allow 4chan to dictate your likes and dislikes?

I've never read a book on my life. Is this a good starting point?

>> No.18890344

>>18890315
It's not a bad starting point but if you don't challenge yourself (I'm assuming you are joking and are actually pretty literate) you will likely stick to this level of literature, which is essentially the "highbrow" of commercial fiction (midwit-tier). On the other hand, despite what the faggot OP says it's a good book and people tend to feel better after finishing a book so as long as you will attempt to challenge yourself I see no harm in it.

First one is good though, but second and third and whatever else he wrote is incredibly bad.

Better as a radio serial. Faithful adaptations are always worse than the original.

That's where he should have left it. By the last book, I was pissed off at him for treating his own characters that way.

Not true, the Dirk Gently books are better than the Hitchhiker stuff.

i preferred Dirk Gently

Any book is a good starting point regardless of what people on here tell you desu. The first step is to start reading avidly and regularly. You can start pursuing more difficult books after you've built up the habit. If you start with a 1000 pg russian tome or something, you might just give up. Hitchhiker's Guide is a good fun book to start with imo.

The ending makes a lot sense though. For the most part, everything that happens to the characters (especially Arthur) is terrible and kinda sad to the point of absurdity.

halfway through myself right now strangely enough, and I’m enjoying so far.
op is a humourless faggot, and he lets reddit live in his head rent free so he shouldn’t be taken seriously anyway
