You asking for free recs or just .. anything?
Kindle store has a lot of oddball public domain that's fun to pick up. 40 Years a Gambler on the Mississippi was fun. I read Kernel and the Husk, the author of Flatland's eccentric tack on Christianity, was kinda interesting.
If you got the money to burn, kindle is really nice for tearing through trashy series. Reading through the entirety of Drizzt right now, along with the Dark Sun novels. So nice not having to deal with physical copies for that stuff.

Look for Delphi Classics on there, you can get the complete works of Plato, Aristotle, Shakespeare, Thoreau, Sophocles, etc.
If you can, I recommend getting the scriptures of your religion

Really just anything, I figured I'd get a more diverse selection of literature if I didn't specify anything. So far I've gotten a wild range of recommendations so I'd say it's working.

I haven't read flatland before so that and Kernel and the Husk are now on the download list. I've heard good things about the Dark Sun series, so I'll consider that as well!

>> No.18703680

Go into your amazon account and set up your kindle email. When you have it set up you can email yourself files and Amazon will add them permanently to your library as if you've bought books. I pirate books all the time and email them to myself, Amazon not only doesn't care but makes it easier for me. Seriously, the kindle is one of the easiest devices for pirating content ever designed.

You need two steps to set this up. First you need to go into your amazon account and find the page for your kindle under your devices. It will have the email you can email that matches your device, something like "myemail_iEtk89efk@kindle.com", you can edit this just to be "myemail@kindle.com".

Then you have to enable an email to actually be permitted to send emails to your kindle, you can't just send from any email in the world. I forget exactly where this is, google it.

Once you have this set up you can just send blank emails with the .mobi / .pdf files you want added as attachments. I download books from z-lib or libgen and send them to myself all the time, almost never pay anymore.

Good luck have fun anon

Kobo has support for Japanese and traditional Chinese.
The keyboard is dependent on the system language so you need to change it for special characters. Chinese input is limited to Zhuyin and Cangjie so you are a bit stumped if you are used to Pinyin.
If you want the most language support you are better off getting something with Android such as the Boox readers that allow you to install new keyboards, dictionaries etc.

>> No.18707925

A better Kobo is better than a better Kindle, as someone else pointed out.
Another benefit is the filetype support.
However, the best part of a Kobo, in my opinion, is if you get a Clara HD (the newest Kobo that has this, sadly) you can swap out the internal storage, giving you a 32GB ereader (or more space, if you want). Once you slap KOReader on it as well, you're golden, and it can even handle manga tolerably at that point, iirc. That said, even with KOReader I still wouldn't want to use a Kobo or a Kindle for PDFs.

It's opening a back, doing two dd commands, and running gparted once. At most, you're spending some time waiting for one of the dds to finish, but it doesn't take long on modern hardware.
Kobos have better third party support, they tend to have more cases available, and 300ppi is better than 212.
Between the Reddit spacing and the fact that you seem to think that's a difficult or lengthy process, I think you might actually be retarded (in which case get a Kindle, since you won't be able to figure out sideloading either).

He's just going through every possible thing that can be done, since Kobos run Linux. For example, I can't think of anyone I know, aside from my compsci friends, who would know what telnet even is.
