Read Homer, Hesiod, Herodotus, Thucydides, Xenophon, Greek Tragedians,(Sophocles, Aeschylus, Euripides) Greek Comedians, (Aristophanes, Menander), Presocratics, Plato, Aristotle. Theres more im forgetting but those are the minimum. It may seem like an incredible amount but after the first bit you begin to really get into it. Consult the /lit/ wiki in the sticky for the ones im forgetting.

Amazing, cant believe ive gone so long in my life not reading him. A great work to help get the culture and history of Greece. Im eager to re-read the previous Greeks ive read some time in the future with the knowledge ive gained from Herodotus.

I read all ancient greek texts prior to 400 BC and a great deal of the 4th century BC texts. I agree with OP: Greeks always purify my soul and my mind. Bless Hellenes for making life bearable.
