I am not saying that advaita or buddhism is the truth I am really a noob at this point and still have a long way to go (only read read 3 books by guenon and some japanese zen stuff).
Maybe I will never reach anything but it's more comforting to search than keeping the pain of nihilism torturing me in the back of my mind.
I am also not initiated yet.

I was speaking about my own nihilism which seems to magically go away when I focus on reading on these philosophies. Bhagavad gita speaks of attachment but I haven't read it yet. However, I heard a daoist saying that you shouldn't really try too hard or be concerned and attached, this is ultimately the best way to learn.

Maybe try taking the path of karma yoga by doing good. If you think that you're suffering too much try going a day without food or water from dusk till dawn and feel the real suffering that poor people experience.
What I learned from hinduism is that human birth is a very rare opportunity to make spiritual progress.
