Is there philosophy that isn't just cope for existence?

Unless you were indoctrinated as a child and believe in some sort of afterlife or existence on another plane, then no; every thing—every single thing, without exception—is a cope for existence. This is inexorable, undeniable, insuperable, irrefutable.

I reached that conclusion independently based on it being a logical conclusion.
Back to r/atheism with you, midwit.

You've never reached a single conclusion independently. You have misunderstood the mind at its most fundamental and rudimentary level. Away with you!

/lit/ would be ten times better without religious people. The first poster is right. Everything, including whatever you believe in, is a cope. Recognizing this is also a cope.

>> No.18446349

If everything is just a cope and coping is worthless, then why are you copers here on /lit/ trying to cope by calling everything cope? According to your own logic, you're just coping.

Yes. To be human is to be trapped in an infinite maze of copes. To a certain extent, our very senses are copes.

I came to atheism at a fairly young age simply by thinking about how nonsensical most religious teachings are (most things outside of just telling you to be a good person), didn't need to have the concept introduced to me from outsiders at all

existence is cope for not already spreading your seed

The idea that there is an "existence" for which to cope in the first place is a wrong view. The Dharma you call "existence" is composed of mind. You could simply cease clinging to the idea that this Dharma has any realness other than what you grant it with your mind. Then there would not even be anything to cope for.

So I don't need to cope with all things happening outside my mind as long as I don't recognize that a cope is needed? Wow, life is so much fun now! Just don't let it affect you bro!

The ideas that there are things happening outside your mind, or things at all, are wrong views

>Life is so much fun now
Is life supposed to be fun? Is trying to find "fun" not a type of coping?

Check out U.G. Krishnamurti. He had many copes himself, but he ruthlessly exposed other copes.
