I came to atheism at a fairly young age simply by thinking about how nonsensical most religious teachings are (most things outside of just telling you to be a good person), didn't need to have the concept introduced to me from outsiders at all

The idea that there is an "existence" for which to cope in the first place is a wrong view. The Dharma you call "existence" is composed of mind. You could simply cease clinging to the idea that this Dharma has any realness other than what you grant it with your mind. Then there would not even be anything to cope for.
